ARTIST BIO
At age 10, Michelle was mesmerized by a talented harpist at Lake Louise Lodge in Banff, Alberta, Canada.
Shortly thereafter, while continuing private piano instruction, Michelle began her harp studies in Salt Lake City, Utah. After several years of musical instruction, harp became her focus and passion. Michelle performed concerts and played for weddings throughout Northern and Central Utah. Audiences included prominent people such as President Thomas S. Monson, of the LDS Church and Michael K. Deaver, author and confidante for President Ronald Reagan.
HARP FUSION
As a member of the internationally acclaimed 12-harp ensemble, HarpFusion, directed by Dr. Carrol McLaughlin, Michelle travelled and performed throughout Asia, Europe, and across the United States. A special performance by HarpFusion was hosted by Oprah Winfrey in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for Maya Angelou.
HOSPICE
Michelle found respect for the harp's healing power while playing bedside music for hospice patients at Hospice of the Valley from 2006-2008. She now plays for individuals on call as well as for memorial services.
